Harris Cooperman is about to die, and we see on stage his entire life flash before his eyes from age four to twenty. One actress plays all the women in his life that have shaped him, from his mother to his first love.

Nearly a year later, NovaStage did, indeed, produce it and I was fortunate enough to be sitting in the director’s chair. Harris Superman is a powerful, challenging puzzle that demands constant consideration, flexibility and creativity. The main arc of the plot is simple and, in contrast, the possibilities and depths to be found within the characters are nearly endless, which makes it a tremendous actor vehicle. The rewards of solving this puzzle are enormous; the show was a wonderful experience for all involved and received excellent feedback. Harris Superman is certainly one of the most enthralling two-handed shows to be written in this generation.”
